Remodelling commission

The heritage flow stacking rings

These rings were commissioned to breathe new life into a deeply cherished set of inherited engagement and wedding rings. While beautifully made, the original pieces had suffered some damage over time, were missing a stone, and no longer felt quite right in either size or style for their new owner.

As we began the process, we uncovered more of their story through the hallmarking- tracing them back to Birmingham and discovering they were older than first thought, dating to around 1850. This sparked a further connection to the family’s history, including a Master Mariner in the lineage, and suddenly the pieces felt even more meaningful.

Together, we reimagined the rings into a flowing set of stacking bands, allowing us to retain the character of the original gold and antique-cut diamonds while creating something far more wearable. The stacking design also offered a thoughtful solution for comfort, making the rings easier to take on and off over the knuckle, while still giving a more substantial, secure feel when worn together.

Inspired by both the family story and the natural movement of water, we developed a soft, organic design with a subtle nautical influence; fluid, tactile, and inherently comfortable to wear.

The result is a set of rings that not only honour their past, but feel completely at home in the present, designed to be worn, enjoyed, and carry their story forward every day.
